Christmas reading
A first list which I chose thanks to google news and thanks to the fact i did not read any of those books.
A second list, which I read myself in the last Economist issue.
There is also a third one, which gives a kind of too long list.
Or just listen to this for a second

For Blair, against Balkenende
The numbering of articles of the EU Treaties changed three times in less than twenty years...as far as I recall it is easier to say those articles whose number did not change than the other way round...I asked myself on what exactly were the french and the dutch asked to vote for...and what about with the Irish, twice....what are we supposed nowadays to stand for...? For a process started with good intensions but become a huge pachydermic animal, able to decide what is a third of the national parliaments of the 27 members state of the union, but unable to give a highly profiled political post to someody able to create some hype...
European Union is often referred as an unstoppable process, though slow and full of drawbacks, but for the good....being not stoppable looks nowadays the only thing many fans of the EU could be proud of...

There is the way you walk through this life, with its duties and its chances, and the way you think about yourself in that process....the best ones are those for whom the difference is not too big...in my case the gap is so big that it screams aloud every time I am back home...
I should believe I could give myself another chance...a defeat is most of the time better than a tied up...

I do think less of people voting for Mr. Berlusconi
I do think less of guys stinking at 8.30 on Monday morning
I do think less of women wearing fur
I do think less of people thinking less of not vegetarian people
I do think less of punks begging for money with Nike shoes on
I do think less of people talking about what they posted on Facebook

The Gentle Side of me and you
There is all that music and those comics we never talked about
There is all those moments we did not share
There is your idea of me and my idea of you
which run away from each other
every hour
a tiny step further
while I feel like there is no word,
nor gesture
no sentence
nor gaze
to heal this misunderstanding between us
There is all those moments we did not share
There is your idea of me and my idea of you

Retarded wanna-be politicians
NPD should be banned. Period.
It is extremely unpleasant to see their campaign posters.
Just the next reason to ban them

So the most exciting weeks of this summer are passing by, I fell in love with Berlin and its pretty laid back attitude of welcoming you...I enjoyed the visit of some very special friends, those who will always be kept in a special part of my heart, I guess...
Cheesy but so true....
The party in Sux Bar turned out to be a kind of success...definitely a very good first party...
Leaving Berlin soon for the next weeks, heading est, as it should be more often than it happens to be...

I did not even know her surname until yesterday night...now I only know how it sounds, no idea how that should be written...
I realize now that the decision of letting Facebook go was one of the few smart ones I took lately....together with deciding to stop working in Goldener Hahn...
Though I decided very instinctively in both cases, they turned out to be so wise and right...
I have the mind full of kind of cheesy thoughts...plans that do not actually start...and a bunch of good friends coming over in the next days...
Earthless (2007) / Earthless (2008) / Blank Dogs (2009) / Cargo (1983) / Eric Clapton (?) / J.J. Cale (forgot)

...Sehnsucht an P.Floyd...why, actually?
Maybe because it is the third grey ady in a row...maybe because I am here home, loooking at my sage plant on the window...maybe because I am still wondering whether I should eat something...whether the music I have collected so far still satisfies me, whether Soviet Union is interesting enough...whether I should watch the R.Garros final, whether I should not care about the small things for a while...

The biggest change in my blog´s conception
I guess I met you three times in the last four days...I also guess I met you twice today...the only thing I am sure is that I met you once in an Austrian restaurant and we both pretended we did not know each other...you had your point though, being not alone...
I had only a newspaper...
I am deeply spaced out, once more...do not have anything to say anymore unless that I am still and totally in love with you...
Since this sentence would be the most stupid thing I could ever say to you, I think we are not going to talk to each other that much...not going to tell you other stuff, that would be awkward...no compromise rather than no surprise...the way you would stand me once more...
And somehow in my crazy never ending longing about your voice and your body, your smell and the way you walk, I think it is a pretty good deal...
People say dreams cannot last longer than 8 minutes...well I would like to tell them the feeling someone gets when he wakes up and thinks and remembers he has dreamt only one and single thing...
I know what I want and I know I will never have it...it is balanced, it is neverchanging...it is assuasive...

I thought about S.F.Scholz, born in April few years ago, early this morning in the most beautiful library I have ever visited, while writing up a paper; while swimming few hours later; while eating home; while riding my bike through South Berlin; while doing some extra hours work in the evening; while drinking in a couple of Kreuzberg´s bars; while dancing in a huge and funny though fucked up private party until the police came; while travelling with a stinking taxi; while walking home from the shortened taxi-ride; while typing this lines...while my life will go on, apparently...tomorrow and in the days to come.
I consider it a true damnation, a never ending state of contraction, like the Barry Adamson´s song.
Simone Weil has been probably one of the smartest persons of the 20th century, by the way...
German police, in the XXI century, is probably the most polite Police of the world...almsot a complex to be developed...

Tonight I believe that if I talked about it, it might help...
I was at school today, listening some guy talking about law systems in comparison...and had a strong, wild and lasting sense of Sehnsucht of a summer dinner in Schöneberg, where language, for once, did not look like a problem, where the smell of a bridge on the Großbeerenstrasse was of rotten flowers and fresh dawn, where my bycicle was silently carried over, and the voice, that I miss the most in every single hour I remember having lived since, told me of the beauty of small things, on which I then happened to believe...
What else?

Jealous for the girlfriends I do not have, impatient to show they are cool with the thing no matter what, all of them with a boyfriend who - allegedly - is the perfect guy (to be noticed the comparison of a boyfriend with a provider of services they are looking for, that is the language they use), they nevertheless disintegrate my patience in a sort of perpetual way...and I do not get anything else from them...

After years on inactivity, I went to rehearsal with a friend...three times in a week was fun...
Apart from that, Berlin is cold and not very lit by sunlight lately but we all know this...
My plans to go to New York are probably gone for this year...I will try next time, if I ll have some more money...there is a good chance I ll be in Budapest for five weeks or so though...
Something interesting to read: 1; 2.
Wayne Shorter - Adam´s Apple
Death Cab for Cutie - Plans
Death Cab for Cutie - Narrow Stairs
Phosphorescent - Pride
Elvis Costello - The Very Best of
Animal Collective - Merriweather Post Pavilion
Song of the week contest: the Phosphorescent cover of "Can I sleep in Your Arms" by W. Nelson and "Possess Your Heart" by DCFC. I picked up songs with so cheesy titles...damned...

01/5th aka today
Vivian Girls - Self Titled
Phosphorescent - To Willie (2009)
Department of Eagles - In Ear Park
Jackie McLean - Swing Swang Swinging
Jackie McLean - Capuchin Swing
Freddie Redd Quintet - Shades of Redd
Song of the week: "Reprise" by Grizzly Bear (Yellow House) together with "Forks and Knives" by Beirut (The Flying Club Cup).
(On January the fifth, aka today, I spoke only through Skype and while ordering breakfast...The English version of Firefox does not recognize the words "Swang", "Skype" and "Capuchin" ... I do not understand the reason to say "creating quite a bit of a stress", when reproaching somebody... either you bore or you don´t, either you should not or you should ... Israel should not even dare to do what it is doing... the never ending clash of ways of behaviour ... southern or northern ... mixes up with the never ending fight between the rights and the wrongs of a piece of land as big as Tuscany ... I am so discouraged
I cooked an awesome ragú ...)
